Who We Are

Who We Are

We are a church for ordinary people. It’s easy for church to become fake. A place to escape the difficulties of real life by getting lost in a spiritual world. A place to put on a smile and act cheerful. A place to feel self-righteous through moralism. But that doesn’t work. It doesn’t honor God. It doesn’t offer real hope. And so it doesn’t help.

Jesus says that He came to seek and to save the lost, the sick, and sinners. We are not a church for good people, but rather for real sinners – for those who are weary of themselves and seeking for hope and truth. Jesus purchased His Church with His own blood. Through His sacrifice we have been forgiven and adopted into God’s family. As God’s forgiven children, we strive to be holy as He is holy, helping one another along the way.

Our King has come. He is building a Kingdom. We want to be part of that Kingdom and build it with Him, one disciple at a time.

That’s the aim. That’s the goal. That’s who we are. And to that end, we strive to be:

HONEST
To boldly share struggles and love one another, putting truth above face.

COURAGEOUS
For passion and guts to meet humility.

COMPASSIONATE
To walk with each other on the road to becoming the people God has created us to be.

CURRENT
To use cultural relevance as a way to relate to and connect with people.
